Bible and Biblical Worldview
A worldview is the way you interpret everything that happens around you and the rest of the world. Everyone has some sort of worldview whether it is conscious or subconscious. People have different worldviews and it can be affected by several different factors around them.
A Biblical/Christian worldview is “ It’s any ideology, philosophy, theology, movement or religion that provides an overarching approach to understanding God, the world and man's relations to God and the world," quoted by David Noebel, author of Understanding the Times. There are five questions that help justify our beliefs in the Christian/Biblical worldview. The first is the Question of Origin, which is how did life begin? In Genesis 1:1 and Psalms 139:13-16 it tells us about the beginning and the reason for all of creation. The second is the Question of Identity. Identity asks the question, who are we? Genesis 1:27 and Jeremiah 1:5 are scriptures that cover the question of Identity. Both tell us that we were made in Gods image and that before we were created we were appointed a prophet to the nations. The Third question is the Question of Meaning/Purpose. This question is asking why we are here. Everyone is born with a purpose for life. John 17:3 states we were put on earth so that we may come to know God. Another scripture is Galatians 5:13-14 which states we were called unto liberty by love to serve one another. The fourth question is the Question of Morality. The Question of Morality asks what is meant by right and wrong or good and bad? Ephesians 2:9-10 states that following Jesus is the best way to have righteous morals. When you follow Jesus, not men you don’t have to worry about what is right or wrong, you know! Acts 5:29 Peter and the Apostles say “we must obey God rather than men.” The last question is the Question of Destiny. The Question of Destiny asks is there life after death. A scripture that everyone knows that refers to destiny is John 3:16, it says “should not perish

The term Worldview has several different ways it can be defined, and because it is so complex some people mistakenly think they don’t have one. But it is very important to understand that we all have a worldview, even if we don’t realize it. Worldview is a person’s viewpoint of life, it is the frame work in which a person makes decisions. Some people view it as their moral compass, while others view it more as a lens or filter in which they use to interpret the world around them.…

A worldview is easily described as the person’s perception of the world around them and is the framework for decision making. You can think of a worldview like a pair of glasses. When you look out of those glasses what do you see? Dr. Weider in his presentation gave an example; if your glasses are red then everything around you will be red. (Weider & Gotierrez, 2011) This is the same for worldview. Everyone has a worldview if they know it or not. It’s how we organize our thinking about life, death, art, science, faith, learning, work, money, values, and morals. (Weider & Gutierrez, 2011, p.50) Worldview is our underlying philosophy of life.…

Naturally, the term worldview is often difficult to define because it describes something that varies depending on the person. In its simplest form, a worldview is what one uses to reflect and analyze the information that he receives or develops. In other words, it is the perspective that one uses to view the world from. A worldview allows us to make conclusions, which are based on presuppositions pertaining to our viewpoint, about the things that surround us. Everyone has a worldview, though not everybody knows that they have it or what it is. It is important to reflect often on your worldview, because it effects every decision we make and how we learn. One may wonder if God still has a hand on His creation today and if so, how? Take biology, without plants giving off oxygen we wouldn’t be able to breathe. How does the tree know how to produce oxygen? How do we know how to naturally breathe in and out? Look at Business. How does one know how to be ethical and moral? Well according to the Holy Bible, God is very much still active in His creation and in a variety of ways.…

    3. According to Rick Ostrander a worldview is a framework of ideas, values, and beliefs about the basic makeup of the world. A worldview is like a crossword puzzle, it helps us understand how knowledge and beliefs actually work. The correct answer to a crossword puzzle is often uncertain, just like our Christian worldview. Some things are certain like the Bible and Jesus but other things we need to look at the surrounding clues to fill in the answer.…

In short, a worldview is “the framework of beliefs by which a person views the world around him” (Caner & Hindson, 498). Coined by Prussian philosopher, Immanuel Kant, it originally translated as “our intuition of the world” but later came to be known as worldview. However, a worldview cannot be summed up in just one sentence. Every person has a worldview, or a philosophy of life. Each person has a filter, or a lens, they use when making decisions. This is based on personal experiences and should also be based on truth, logic, and evaluation. The problem with varying worldviews is not every person or society uses truth, logic, and evaluation to form one.…

There is currently a major dispute on whether or not the United States Constitution correlates with a Biblical worldview. When the founders wrote the Constitution they wrote it based on what had thrived within many previous civilizations and people groups such as the Roman, the Greek, and the Hebrew which happens to be, the Bible.
