Terrorism is a special type of violence. It is a tactic used in peace, conflict and war. Terrorism is the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, which is usually political, religious or ideological. It targets religious groups, political parties, governments, corporations and media enterprises. Terrorism is very premeditated, terrorist in most cases always know exactly what they are doing and their targets are well thought out. Terrorism that happens throughout the world is known as Global Terrorism. The results are almost always catastrophic not only because people die, but it ruins families, economies and world order that told hundreds of years to build. The scariest parts of terrorism is that no one group is immune, that it happens when least expected and the recovery from a terrorist attack is almost as painful as going through the attack its self. The world has suffered many casualties from suicide bombings and wars in the past few years, although governments are improving security systems every day, it is still hard to crack down and capture terrorist because there are different organizations and groups forming just as fast. Terrorism is very prevalent today, but it is nothing new, terrorism dates back to the Roman times, emperors such as Tiberius and Caligula dealt with terrorism by using banishment, and execution towards those who went against their rule. Later in the 1860's a terrorist group called the Ku Klux Klan was formed to terrify former slaves. But The most famous and worst hijacking in history occurred on September 11, 2001 when 19 trained Islamic operatives went on a suicide mission and hijacked four domestic airlines. Two of them were guided into the Twin Towers in New York City, one crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C, and the other crashed into a plain field in Pennsylvania.
