World Hunger

If I could choose a ‘journey to change the world,’ it would be to solve world hunger. I would want to solve world hunger because it is just horrible when you think about all the people who go hungry. I mean 24,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger related diseases. But to solve this problem I would need a lot of help from everyone because solving world hunger won’t be easy but I want to try and eventually succeed.

To stop world hunger won’t be easy because in the Asian, African and Latin American countries, well over 500 million people are living in what the World Bank has called "absolute poverty" and the horror of all those people never having little to nothing to eat is just sad. When for the price of one missile, a school full of hungry children could eat lunch every day for 5 years and that every 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger. So my plan is to help every country get the money they need to feed every single person who is malnourished.

I know it won’t be easy but I plan to succeed with a lot of help I am going to hold charity events like auctions, walks, bake sales, and anything else I can think of. If I can at least solve half of the problem I would call it a success, but I don’t plan to stop there I want to stop the whole problem because at least 15 million children die of hunger every year. The more money I raise the better chance I have to slow down and eventually stop the problem. To stop world hunger I would need 13 billion US dollars but with enough determination I should be able to raise enough money to do so
