Survival requires the economical contribution of every adult in a family and mother is not an exception. 21st century mothers are not old-fashioned housewives but corporate executives bubbling with heaps of energy, enthusiasm and confidence. They are ambitious and want to accomplish those feats which their earlier generations counterpart were not able to. They desire to make the best of time and opportunity to earn respect and for success. But is this success driven desire taking away the child hood of many urban children? From here the question arises : Is working mother a boon or a bane?
M any would agree that working mother poses a threat to a child's development. Her work tends to take away the precious time she would have spent with her young one. The tension and workload of office devoids her to share any emotional moment with her child. But confront any urban mother and you shall find these talks to be only superstitions.
T oday woman especially mother are well aware of their responsibilities towards family. She is experienced enough to strike a balance between work and home. She is more aware than ever about the needs of her child : emotional and psychological. Being in touch with the world actually helps her to easily adapt herself to demands of her child. She is more patient and understanding than the traditional housewife mother. She is very tentative when it comes to her child's problem.
Some might argue that leaving child alone a home involves risk. The child might switch on the television and be exposed to explicit videos. And their is still a chance of daylight robbery or kidnapping.
