1. Working Capital
The word “ finance” is considered the center of an organization’s operations. Right from the selling activities to the production jobs, finance is the key to run these tasks that helps the organization to successfully achieve its objectives and earn profit. But in order to do so, one must clearly distinguish the financial activities and allocate the required financial funds to each activity. The term finance is given of wider importance, mainly because each and every activity is dependent on it and it is perhaps the most sensitive subject.
In order to study finance in detail, we must clearly understand the need of the funds required for day-to-day operations. The use of everyday funds will ensure smooth functioning of the organization. Hence finance is known as the “lifeblood of the enterprise”. The use of day-to-day funds in the entity’s operations is known as “working capital”.
