The increase of women participation in the labour force shows that the participation of women in the development was increase with more prominent and positive side. This is supported by the extensive development opportunities and space for women to enhance their performance in various areas and also activities. In addition to open and give a greater challenge to continues to play a role and managed in line with the national mission to uplift women in the top positions in organizations that have presented by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in RMK10 ( Malaysian Planned - 10th ) to take steps into increase the participation of women at all levels of public and private sectors, including entrepreneurship.
If we look today, names like Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar, Dr Mashitah Ibrahim, Datuk Maznah Hamid and others are names familiar among Malaysian society. They have demonstrated the ability, capacity and capability in their respective fields to show that women's status and ability is much satisfaction to the country. Nowaday there was a comparable to that of men about achievement and successful.
The business world is not an outside field for women. It is still related and have a connection to women in the world. The most obvious example can give is Siti Khadijah, who are involved in international trade within 13 countries. Prophet Muhammad s.aw before being appointed as a Messenger also involve as Siti Khadijah assistant to do support the business into another country. Siti Khadijah is a model for Muslim women who are interested in an entrepreneurship. It is not impossible in the entrepreneurial world that women have opportunities to take over as a leader and a role model based on their attitude, committed, competent and proactive which is already begin to build up among women entrepreneurs.
When mentioned the word entrepreneur, in fact it refers to men or women entrepreneurs. In other words, women did not have a specific term. Similarly, features entrepreneurs, there is no difference between the characteristics of female entrepreneurs than male entrepreneurs
Generally, there is very wide range to describe about entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship can be defined to whom is undertaken to an organizing, runs and takes the risks of a small business. But the meaning for women’s entrepreneurs can be refers from U.S Women’s Chamber of Commerce which defines to any women who organize and manage any enterprise especially a business usually with considerable initiative and risk. This means that not only a men but also for women can be as entrepreneurs especially in Malaysia, where a women group is also the important parts that can helps and support the government to increase Malaysian KDNK (Domestic Gross Producer or “Keluaran Dalam Negara Kasar”).
