Project Information
Project Title

Wind Power Operated Eco-Friendly Bike

Objective

Availability of energy, its source and cost have become key points in development over the last couple of decades. Ever rising demand and consumption of conventional fueled energies despite fast depletion of the resources have encouraged development of green energy sources. Green energy technologies are modern day solutions to the problems of conventional energy generation. Wind power, as an alternative to fossil fuels, is plentiful, renewable, widely distributed, clean, produces no greenhouse gas emissions during operation. In this direction our project is focused on use of wind power for driving the motor bike. Our objectives of the project are:•To effectively design the Wind Mill rotor blades such that maximum power from the wind is extracted.•To successfully design the electromechanical system comprising alternator, battery and inverter to store the wind energy in the form of electricity.•To develop a cost efficient, eco-friendly and user friendly bike for all ages.•We would like to involve the user group to evaluate the effectiveness of our research project. If they are satisfied, we will explore the...
