Why I would like to become a C.N.A?
My name is Tina Connor and I’m thirty four years old I was born here in Chicago. For the last seven years I have worked for the United States Post Office. The reason I would like to become a C.N.A. is because it will be the first step at achieving my goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. Once I receive my certificate I will be able to take my state board and enroll into the nursing program at Dabney University. With my certificate I will be able to work in hospitals, nursing homes, and provide home health care. Upon receiving my training I will be able to help my grandmother who is ninety six years old with more safe and quality care. My grandmother was my guardian she had to retire early to raise me from birth so I would like to be able to assist her as much as possible in her time of need (golden years). My grandmother would be so proud of me to get a degree that I should have obtained years ago since I graduated with honors and had a full scholarship to attend college. I didn’t know how important a college degree was at the time and we all make mistakes. I truly care about the well-being of others and enjoy being able to make a difference in the patient’s lives. I want to accomplish something important in my life, as a C.N.A. I will have the opportunity to make an impact in not only the lives of the patients that I help, but also their friends and families. While suffering from an illness, disease or disability the patient’s lives will be more comfortable, and it can be a very rewarding experience.
