Nursing has become a harder profession to pursue. It is one of the most rewarding professions in the world. A patient wants to be reassured that the person taking care of them is well qualified, and knows what to do when the time comes. Nursing is more than just helping people get better. It is a livelihood that a person can be proud of achieving. The nursing field is bigger than most know about. There are hospital nurses, nursing home nurses, school nurses, and even private nurses. The possibilities are endless for a person who has an LPN certification. I would like to become a nurse that would be in the hospital.
Each floor is in need of nurses because of the nursing shortage. Any help would be appreciated. If I had to choose one unit, it would be with the Emergency Dept. I once worked on the ambulance and loved the excitement that came with each call. Nurses and doctors work hand in hand when it comes to a patient’s health. When diagnosed with a disease or injury, you want to help the patient live a long peaceful life. Nurses know what works and what does not, from being in close contact with their patients.
Nurses can develop different methods to make a patient feel comfortable, and help doctor’s research drug studies. With any kind of treatment there are side effects. The nurse can be calming and comforting in the time of need. I know it will be difficult to get through nursing school. Just getting through nursing school will be an achievement. Many nursing students drop it as a major because the following year is harder than the previous year. I don’t mind because I like challenges. I aspire to be a CNA so I can get a feel for the whole environment. I would then need to go for my LPN certification.
Any goal has obstacles. One is money. Registering as a nurse, and going to classes is not cheap. Some hospitals or organizations, depending where you work, will provide the money so that you will be able to attend class and certify and spread the... [continues]
