Who or what inspires me.
•Who or what inspires you? Why?

Is there ever been person in my life that has inspired me to do something or just astonishes you with their achievements? For me there is my teacher ex Mr. Scott is the most self motivated person I know. No matter what comes in his way, he conquers it, then moves on to the next challenge. Throughout the year Mr. Scott talked about his life, about how he once worked on the family farm for less than minimum wage, to how he had side programming jobs paying him more than one-hundred dollars an hour. He always preached if you work hard, no matter what you do, you will succeed on doing it. Now Mr. Scott is not any normal man by far, he is a machine, he never stops. Since the beginning, he worked hard, starting off he work on his family farm 7 days a week more than 12 hours a day, most people now days don’t even know what is hard work is, but Mr. Scott lived though it. After that he went to college and got degree in accounting and computer programming, there are others but he didn’t tell us. After college he got an teaching job, well I shouldn’t say a teaching job, he got three teaching jobs, one as a math teach at sterling, then a programming teacher at Macomb community college, then after all of the he was a driver’s ed teacher. He is well over 50 now and is still going strong, he still has his teaching jobs, and he also still doing his side job programming, the one that is paying his over $100 an hour. What’s here is a motivated man, people at his age are planning to retire, he is planning for new jobs. As you had read my teacher Mr. Scott had accomplish many obstacles in his life and hasn’t thought about quitting yet. That’s way my ex teacher Mr. Scott’s influence’s me to do well like him and have people look up to him.

My dad grew up wanting to be a firefighter. Once he grew up, he decided to put that dream into action by actually becoming one. My dad had to work through the many physical and mental challenges and tests in order for him to make his dream come true. However, when he met my mom and they were instantly in love. After they got married, my mom spoke to my dad telling him that if they were going to have a family, my mom wouldn't want to have to worry about his safety, because being a firefighter is very dangerous and stressful on a family. So, my dad decided that being a dad was more important to him. Although it was still hard for him to know that his hard work to become a firefighter was all for nothing. Another example of when my dad had to persevere was when he had a seizure. My dad had 3 seizures and he told me that he felt as if he wasn't in control of his body. He said that knowing he didn’t have control was one of the scariest things he has experienced. He had to work through fears going through his head, but also physically. He had to go through many tests and recovery assignments that required him to persevere physically. Overall, my dad has worked very hard to get to where he is now and that is why he is a great example of showing what perseverance can…

People who've we've looked up to, or ways we ourselves have surpassed obstacles and succeeded. My personal example of grit, was the hard road I took, trying to learn English. I was young, the age of six, when I first came to America. I could speak broken English, with a very heavy Indian accent. It was hard, seeing as my mother was a literary fanatic. The idea that her daughter was having trouble with a language that she fell in love with overseas, was hard for her to bear. I could barely write, and being in a classroom with people who spoke it so often, it was tough. I was put into ESL, which was an English learning program, for people who spoke English as a second language. My teacher was a kindhearted woman, named Mrs. Armano. She and I worked, and little by little, I began to learn English. Everyday, she and I would converse and speak. In about one and a half years, I could speak English fluently. It was amazing, with my own hard work I was able learn English, a language that was so daunting. Despite the strange rules, and my difficulty with grammar, I was able to speak. Now, my vocabulary has expanded beyond what I ever thought possible. I myself, have demonstrated grit, a trait I didn’t know existed until a short while…

It was mostly teachers who inspired me to keep going, even though the situation at home kept getting tougher. Their words of wisdom and positive attitude towards me gave me motivation to aim for my goals. In particular, my English 2 teacher, Ms.Allbee, believed in me ever since she stepped into her new classroom. With the words of my senior AVID teacher and the compassion of Ms. Allbee, it made me realize I can be anything I wanted to be, despite of where I grew up and situations at home.…

    Person who inspired me

    • 423 Words

The person that inspires me most is my mom. The reason I say this is because she’s a strong black woman and she stands independently facing all odds. She inspires me to be the best I can be and to always give my all in whatever I’m doing. Whenever I need something, all I have to do is ask and I know if it’s possible, she’ll provide it. It’s always been like that with her and not with just me, but all of my brothers. I think the reason we may act uncivilized when dealing with authority is because we know we have a mother who’ll bail us out 9 times out of 10. If I didn’t have her, I would probably be a drop out because I wouldn’t have anyone in my ear telling me to get my grades up. My mom tells me what to do and she means just that. She has her flaws like every human does but they aren’t easy to spot in her. We’re not rich or close to it but from everything I have you wouldn’t be able to tell. I never go without anything I need or in a lot of cases, anything I want. I know she would give me her last dollar. For example…if my mom and I both wanted a candy bar and she only had two dollars on her, without a doubt she would buy it for me. She thinks of others before herself a lot and that could cause people to try to run over you but not with my mom. My mom is very smart and she pushes education to the max in my household. When I bring home bad grades I know it hurts her just as much as it hurts me, maybe a lot more actually. I always use manners and that’s because she tells me that education and respect will take me far in life. And that it would make people respect me. I want to be an R&B singer when I grow up and my mom tells me I can be anything I want to be. I don’t know if she really believes that or if she’s just saying it because it sounds good, but I know that that’s the kind of motivation I need. If I don’t have any support from anyone else, I know I’ll have some from her. I can count on my mom for…

    Most inspired person

The person that inspires me most turns out to be a fictional character, Barney Stinson from the famous series How I Met Your Mother. He exudes a uniquely vibrant and joyous energy in every single episode. Inspired by him, I have learnt many positive and useful traits. First of all, he is a positive person, even in the face of adversity. His well-known favorite quote:” When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead” depicts his notion clearly. It always reminds me of being sanguine no matter what happen and what I will come across. I believe by being positive as he is, I would have more self-control and therefore be able to achieve amazing feats in life. Secondly, Barney is a steadfast character as well. His never-give-up attitude proves to be one of most valuable lessons in life. Whenever he comes across a challenge, he is determined to see it done. That is also the reason why he is able to win the hearts of the large audience. His resolute has influenced me in making many important decisions in real life: when problems arise, no matter how daunting it seems, I must continue on and solve it at all cost. Step by step, I find myself more determined, more persistent in whichever path I tread upon. Last but not least, I am also impressed by his lightheartedness – to “live every moment to the fullest”. Yet he sometimes behaves in idiosyncratic nature as being unworried about many encumbrances; many desire to have such personality: being untroubled by pressing concerns and stressful life like him. Every moment, every second is to be treasured, because you never know what may happen to you tomorrow. Therefore I too believe: life is to be enjoyed, not to be detested.…
