Each person on this planet has unique qualities that are shared with others. Knowing people is a way to broaden one's horizons, create new ideas and spread them.  My life is full of meaningful relationships and memories. My name is May Anne Mendoza but my friends call me “ai-ai”. I am 19 years old and I was born in Butuan City and lived with traditional parents. I have two siblings, one is my younger sister and one is my older sister who died 6 years ago because of cancer of the blood. My parents would expect me to exceed in everything ranging from getting good grades in school to becoming a successful person in life. My life as a daughter was a very challenging but rewarding one. As a child I did not realize the many lessons I was learning day to day, or how much I would carry them on throughout life. I am a girl with a big dream and a person who has taken big steps to reach it. My experiences have made me who I am today but I also know how to have fun and enjoy the small things. Furthermore, throughout my life, I have become very competitive and hardworking but at the same time, I am a joker person who wants to give smile to the people surrounds me in every joke I asserted. Even though I love challenges, I hate losing the challenges. When I lose, I can be very hard on myself, because the fact I am very competitive, I strive to work really hard. I was taught by my parents that there is no shortcuts in life and anything you want to achieve, you must go on the hard way. However, I am learning that in life there can be downfalls sometimes and I just have to put myself up and continue to move on. Moreover, I am very excited and outgoing. I enjoy watching movies with family and friends. Moreover, I enjoy doing a lot of different things such as playing computer games like Tetris. I can identify myself with so many things. I love sports (particularly badminton and basketball), movies, surfing in the internet, swimming, hanging out with friends, and listening to music....
