WHISTLES HISTORY
Whistles is a clothing brand with 40 stores across Britain. It was founded in the early 1980s by Lucille and Richard Lewin. In January 2008, Jane Shepherdson, former Topshop director, signed a deal to purchase a 20 per cent stake in Whistles and was appointed the job of chief executive

Founded in London in 1978, Whistles began as an independent boutique and has since evolved into a leading womens wear brand. Today, under the helm of Chief Executive Jane Shepherdson, Whistles is characterised by its contemporary and effortless style, which seeks to inspire women. Whistles encapsulates an intelligent sense of design with interesting and luxurious pieces. Collections are easy and laid back with an attention to detail and quality. Chief Executive at Whistles, Jane Shepherdson is the figurehead of our brand. Originally from Bristol, she studied in London and worked as Brand Director at Topshop. With an uncanny ability to know what women want to wear, she has been working her magic at Whistles since 2008. JANE SHEPHERDSON WHISTLES ASESTHETICS

It’s an effortless way of dressing. It is unique, there’s an insouciance to it, a sort of ‘I just threw it together and it worked.’ That’s what we try to encapsulate. It is easy and laid back, but also luxurious. Whistles
