This report provides in depth information about the location of the next location for Disney Land. It analyses, evaluates, and provides recommendation for the expansion of Disney Land in the three chosen cities; Barcelona, Spain, Istanbul, Turkey and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The method of analysis included an in depth research of all three chosen cities in consideration of its tourism demographic, land demographic and other major factors to be included in the process. A calculation of which city would best fit Disney’s new location was created to calculate the most suitable location. The report provides information about the importance of culture for business, a thorough understanding of candidate cities as well as the final recommendation for the candidate city.

With the three chosen cities, an evaluation of the three cities was made to produce the most suitable location for the new Disney Land. In the evaluation it was met that Istanbul, was the most suitable city. Factors which are taken into account for the decision were the city’s tourism demographic, climate and being economically stability. Table of Contents

Disney, one of the most popular and cultural icon opened up its very first theme park on the 17th of July, 1955 in Southern California. It has become the most well known theme park in the world, having expanded in 4 different countries in the world including the very first theme park at Anaheim, California.

This report analyses, evaluates and shows the process and approach that has been conducted for choosing the best suitable location for the next Disney land destination. It also provides the recommended candidate city as well as the top three cities that were chosen for the new Disney location.

1.1 Importance of Culture for Business

The culture of a society has a strong impact on individuals and businesses’ behaviors, feelings and views. It involves the knowledge, beliefs, morals, laws, arts, and customs of the people in the society (Nichols et al. 2010). Economic development for a success global company is always defined as the ability to succeed internationally. That is why cross-cultural core competence is playing the key role of today’s sustainable competitive advantage (Denise 2012). Understanding the culture differences helps businesses to effectively reduce culture conflicts while at the same time provides them with opportunities to expand business based on these culture traits. Conversely, the negligence of culture differences may make the customer be discontented with businesses’ services or products and lead to an inestimable loss.
