What to Do in Unethical Situations

Abstract
This an essay based on this week’s assignment answering two question and quoting three main points from page 94. 1)Identify what you consider to be potentially unethical. Why do you think it is not ethical? It doesn’t matter if he doesn’t have time to right it his self. He has no right asking the secretary to do it for him. 2)Using the three ethics check questions on page 94 of the Understanding Business text, describe how you would handle this situation. Though there is sometimes a difference between behaviors that are unethical and activities that are actually illegal, it is up to the business itself to decide how it deals with unethical behavior legal or not. 

Well for one he’s a manager and he’s making people feel very uncomfortable and he should be setting a good example as one of the leaders at a company. I think it’s very unethical to yours a secretary that already has to be secretary for others to help you with any personal related task. No matter how important something may be to you should always consider company policies when inquiring a secretary. It doesn’t matter if he doesn’t have time to right it his self. He has no right asking the secretary to do it for him. That’s his personal agenda and not any one’s responsibility’s but his own. Though there is sometimes a difference between behaviors that are unethical and activities that are actually illegal, it is up to the business itself to decide how it deals with unethical behavior legal or not. I think it’s not ethical because Daryl has not yet learned personal accountability witch would help in this situation. (Bill Nickels, 2010) If I were a co-manager I would first ask the secretary what was going on. I would be looking for the truth. If she came clean she would be left out of the discipline action. If not she would be held accountable also. Then I would go to Daryl and ask him if the issue was true if he’s honest I would suggest him to come clean and announce his wrong doing...
