Most fundamental among which is the argument regarding whether leadership is inherent to the person or whether it can be taught. There are strong supporters on both sides of the divide. Irrespective of which way it is done, the more contemporary theory of Transformational leadership seems to be the direction of which leadership studies are going towards.
