Human Resource Management (HRM) is the function within an organization that concentrates on recruitment of, management of and providing supervision for the people who work in the organization. HRM can also be accomplished by line managers.
HRM is the organizational function that handles matters related to people such as Employment & Recruiting, Training & Development, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Services, Employee & Community Relations, Personnel Records, Health & Safety and Strategic Planning.
HRM is also a tactical and comprehensive, communication technique to managing people and the workplace lifestyle and atmosphere. Effective HRM enables employees to contribute effectively and productively to the overall company direction and the accomplishment of the organization's goals and objectives.

HRM is moving away from traditional personnel, administration, and transactional roles, which are increasingly outsourced. HRM is now expected to add value to the strategic utilization and development of employees so that employee programs impact the business in measurable ways. The new role of HRM involves strategic direction HRM metric and measurement to present value.

HR as a Business deal with 3 product lines that are managing Business Partner Services, Strategic Partner and also as Administrative Services & Transactions.

The world of employment is quickly changing. As a part of an organization, Human Resource Management (HRM) must be prepared to handle the consequences of the changing world of employment. For the HR people it means realizing the implications of globalization, work-force diversity, changing skill requirements, corporate downsizing, constant improvement initiatives, re-engineering, the contingent employment force,
