Different Countries see Beauty Differently It is said that “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” This means that everyone defines beauty differently. The dictionary defines beauty as “the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind.” There have another point about image of beauty which is wealthy. Most of the time people define beauty depending on their culture and usually uniqueness. For example, many white people want to their tan, and many Asian people want to whiten their skin. When comparing American and Chinese images of beauty using the physical characteristics, personality, and extrinsic factors, one sees more similarity than different. American people consider ideals of beauty that is as same as Chinese people. First of all, for females, blond hair, blue eyes, and brown skin are usually rarity in America. For example the singer Beyoncé, who many American think is pretty, is African American and has brown skin. In addition, usually, African American should have black hair, but she has blond hair, she has everything that is American people consider what is beauty. However, she’s blond hair that is not natural, she uses hair dye make it be blond because blond hair is value, is beautiful. People might not believe she is beautiful in China, where many prefer black hair and white skin, such as Zhang Ziyi, she was actor “The Grandmaster” and “House of Flying Daggers”, is very representative of the “Oriental beauty”. She has prominent nose, brooding eyes, long and black hair, she also is tall and slim. There are two countries both prefer to different beauty from face and hair, but for the body, they are both like slim and curvy women. To compare, America and China they define outside beauties different, whereas they define inner beauty that is more similar than each other. First of all, need be amicable to people, that is
