What is so Different about Them? They are Both Love Story!

“I love Twilight! Oh and yeah, I hate Vampire Diaries lovers! So GO TWILIGHT! I love you Edward and Jacob!”

“Vampire Diaries is so much better than Twilight. The girls and guys are so much not all pale ugly people.”

These two quotes were from the comments in a blog about Twilight and Vampire Diaries. Both are from different fans of the movies and they disagree with each other. Ever since Twilight and Vampire Diaries came out, they have been compared numerous times, because they have several similarities, but they both have discrete endings. Due to peoples different likes and dislikes, there has been a long argument between the two, regarding to which is the best one. Stephan, Damon Salvatore, and Edward Cullen were vampires who fell in love with a human woman. Their vampire existence and their love for the human shared many similar traits, though their movies were much different.

Most fans are commonly mistaken with a love story and a love triangle. A love story is between a couple, and a love triangle is more of like a love story with an extra person involved. Twilight and the Vampire Diaries both share a similar love triangle. In Twilight, as most of you know, Bella fell in love with Edward Cullen, who is a vampire, and her best friend Jacob Black, who is a werewolf. These two gentlemen are desperately in love with her, but she loves Edward more. In the Vampire Diaries, which is identical to Twilight, Elena is quite confused with her feelings toward the Salvatore brothers, Stefan and Damon. At first she was madly in love with Stefan, but her feelings for Damon were revealed after she awakened from the dead. As soon as the death of her brother, Elena discovered she was sired to Damon and their love was unrealistic. The last season of the Vampire Diaries just ended and Elena chose Damon over Stefan.

In the essence of mythical beings known as vampires, we must first recognize the nature of such. If we were to trace the origins of the vampire, we would conclude with a cursed, grotesque human who had risen from his grave to feed on blood. Though the graves appeared normal until uncovered by the local law, the bodies had yet to decompose and fresh blood saturated their lips. Also known as the undead, vampires subsist by draining the blood from other creatures. Immortality is a power possessed by such creatures, with only a few exceptions known to exist. Abnormal strength and speed are also characteristics shared between the characters in the…

Many authors actually use vampires, ghosts, or doppelgangers to portray vampiristic qualities instead of letting the reader infer those qualities into a human.…

There are many, they are messy, and they are complicated. Just like friendships, no one actually trusts the person they are in a relationship with – at least not fully. Take the love triangle between Annalise, Sam, and Nate, everyone is involved with more than one person. Annalise is sleeping with both men, but it is unclear if she really loves either of them. Nate has a sick wife at home (who works mainly to demonstrate the lack of faithfulness in this triangle, we do not actually meet her in the first season). And then there is the relationship between Sam and Lila, both of whom are dead in the first…

Edward Cullen, born Edward Anthony Masen, is a major character, implicated in all of the Twilight Saga films and books. As stated in the first and second novels, he was born on June 20, 1901, in Chicago, Illinois, and was frozen in his 17-year-old body while dying of the Spanish influenza, when he was changed into a vampire by Dr. Carlisle Cullen in 1918. As shown in Twilight, he only did so because Edward's dying mother, Elizabeth, begged him to save Edward. A member of the Olympic Coven, Edward only drinks animal blood and has the special ability to read minds. When he met Bella, he was immediately attracted to her because her thoughts are unreadable to him, and also to her strongly appealing blood scent. Edward tries to avoid Bella for her own safety, but fails. He notices Bella's attraction…
