What is Life Without Dreams?

But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'” - George Bernard Shaw When I begin to contemplate the life I wish to have one day, many things come to mind. A California king sized, pillow top mattress, a gas powered fireplace, a pimp, new ride, and a fresh, brand new pair of socks each day would put the icing on my hypothetical cake of life. Many other desired aspects are evident as well, and I realize how much effort and motivation it will take to accomplish all I want in just one lifetime unless I were to win the lottery this Friday. If I win the lottery, I will be able to buy the glorious house of my dreams and fill it with all the proper furnishings. I will live a lavish life, but, without another to share it with, it is not much of a life at all. When I win the MegaMillions this week, I will be rolling in the dough. Doors will open at my beckon call, because I will be flashing those crisp, hot off the mint hundreds without an obstacle in sight. Others will smell the fresh money coming and cater to my every need. With all the money I will ever need, I will relocate to a tropical climate and purchase a gorgeous two story house near a quaint, rugged town. The perfect house for me is within walking distance of a warm, sandy beach. The smell of the salty ocean air will fill the outdoors, and the rustic homey feel of the indoor décor will give off a comfortable aura on the chilly nights and brisk mornings. The aroma of freshly baked pastries will emanate through the entire house while my live-in, gourmet chef bakes throughout the day. I will enjoy rare delicacies in the comfort of my own living room, but I will be lonely and unhappy without someone to share these glories with me. To fully enjoy the vast luxuries that encompass my dream life, I must find true love and companionship. I will fall madly...
