Weekends: Saturday and Nice Rich Breakfast

Everyone considers the weekends as being the best part of the week. It is normally made of Saturday and Sunday, but, if you are lucky, you can get the Friday evening as well. I think the weekend is great and I like to spend it with my family or friends. I usually start the weekend on Friday after school, when I have a chat with my friends and make plans for the next two days. Friday and Saturday evenings are the best part of the weekend, because we can spend them hanging out and sharing our experiences during the week or going out clubbing. Unfortunately, these last few weeks, studying for exams has been our only occupation, so we didn’t have much time for fun. In the mornings, I like to oversleep or stay in bed until the sun is high up in the sky. This laziness gives me a feeling of peace and quiet after a hard-working week. Saturday and Sunday are the only days of the week when I have time to have a nice rich breakfast, surrounded by my family. We have time to dawdle, to talk about our week and maybe read a newspaper or a popular magazine. Mum makes us pancakes and she serves them with chocolate and milk. This is the only moment when we feel spoiled by life and we like to take it easy, so that it doesn’t go away. After breakfast, it’s time for e-mails or phone calls to friends or other family members. I spend hours writing e-mails, talking on the phone or chatting. This makes me feel closer to the people I like, even if I can’t talk to them face to face. My closest friends come and pick me up in the evening and we spend the rest of the night together. We like to listen to music, dance or talk about things we like, or simply about our problems. We also like to play games, if we are in the mood, but not too much because we don’t have too much time left. We also meet new people and try to get to know them better.
