Capstone Checkpoint

The United States has classified the different minority groups, due to their race. One strongly
believe that this is why race problems are apparent, if they stop putting people in categories and just
say that there all Americans. Now I understand why African- Americans can relate to Hispanics even
though, all of the minorities that are mentioned have similarities. The African- Americans are still the
most inferior race to all other race groups, for the Arab race stick together and their growing, because
they have unity among each other. The Asian groups are apparent here in the United States, for there
the most successful with employment and education, however they still have a hard time, with race
relations as well. The Asian groups have great family values in which they stick to their tradition and
speak their language at home, like the Hispanics do.

The Asian Americans have risen with employment in America, for they hold jobs such as, judges,
doctors and teachers. It is obvious that the Caucasian race have displayed numerous wrongs to all of
the minority groups, however one cannot see holding the Caucasians of today’s world accountable. If
the African- Americans could get over the wrongs that America have displayed upon them in the past,
for this can be a start to develop a better future. It seems that so many of them hold grudges, do not get
me wrong I know that slavery was wrong, however; one feels like the African- Americans carry a burden
of anger. You the Japanese Americans that went to live in the camps back in World War II were smart,
they saw how important it was to learn English and become educated in America.

What I have learned about my own race from this course, is African- Americans have come a
long way in America. African- Americans have never really received a genuine apology concerning
slavery and racism, for some African- Americans are still oppressed mentally. The Native... [continues]
