This growing population is so use to the traditional way of life and they feel that one person doing right will not correct the ongoing problem. Not knowing that if they change someone else may have the feeling to change and then it becomes an ongoing solution and no longer a problem. There have been information center and web site set up to help answer question regarding safe disposal of substances from various organization that want to prove more facts and alternatives to the public to help lessen or stop the spread of water pollution. Trying to change this problem will have it limitations, funding will be one because the money it will take to educate the population will be greater than ever imagined and without money that limits the resources that could be available. In fact, there are actually 58 water pollution control federal grants, government grants and loans in place for funding research and advertisement. There are even local state water pollution funds available. The water pollution control program grants is the EPA and states working together to develop a wide approach to water quality management. In order for this plan to carry out the government would have to stay fully engaged. There would have to be additional environmental laws written and passed, economics law that make it expensive to behave in an environmentally irresponsible way, and educating people is the first step by making people aware should solve the problem.
