Where would we be without the great T.V? What would we do without our latest instalments of our favourite shows? I’ll tell you, sitting at home extremely bored! That’s why I disagree with the statement ‘Watching T.V is bad for you’. I believe that it is very, very good for you! Where would we be without the latest stories in our favourite soaps? We would have nothing to talk about, the person who invented the marvellous T.V is a true genius! Watching the T.V brings us entertainment everyday. 86.7% of people have a T.V in their household in the UK. These are the people who are entertained everyday. When we feel tremendously bored, what do we do? That’s right, we switch on the amazing box that’s called a television and only after a short while we feel like we’re in a good mood again! An episode of Friends would certainly do the trick. I know that when I’m down in the dumps the first thing I do is grab a funny DVD and stick it in the T.V. It’s like the T.V is the best medicine for anything! T.V isn’t just great, well really great, for the cheering up part, but there is also a wide range of educational programmes that are shown. Therefore we’re not just entertained, we learn something as well. Educational T.V programmes can help little children learn things through fun methods and can help adults and teenagers further their education. It can even help pupils with their school work. Watching a documentary about Adolf Hitler did a great job for me in History! Similarly, the T.V provides us with not just educational programmes but it provides us instant access to news and other informational programmes. Can you imagine what it would be like if you didn’t know what is going on in the world today? Or the weather for the weekend if your going camping? The T.V gives us all the information we need about the world. The television keeps us as up-to-date as we need. Its news programmes give us info on politics, sport, events in the community, weather, health...
