The purpose of this study is to control the growth of fungal pathogens. Aspergillus flavus, Penicillum specie and Curvularia specie. By using pure extract of lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus), Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) and 50/50 combination of both. The study focuses in determining which of the three treatments will inhibit specific fungi. After being tested and identified which among of the three treatments is the best, we suggested using it as an additive in cosmetics and medicine.In-vitro testing comprised the methods of identifying the anti-fungal property of the treatments. From the collection of plant samples to reading and analyzing of data, fungus growth took for four days then the treatment assignment was conducted. The fungi must have similar growth rate to have accurate results. Results showed that pure extract of Lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus) is the only treatment that controls the growth of Aspergillus flavus. The two other treatments failed to inhibit all three fungal pathogens. Pure extract of Lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus) can be used as an additive to some cosmetics and medicine because of its anti-fungal property against Aspergillus flavus. Adjustments of concentrations should be conducted upon Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) to prove the effectiveness and to test its suitability as a moisturizer. Further experimentation may also identify the active component of Lemon Grass (Cymbopogon citratus) that makes it as an anti-fungal against Aspergillus flavus. Future researchers can use the pure Lemon grass extract (Cymbopogon citratus) as an additive to cosmetics and develop this to…
