Library Awareness Day was celebrated on 28th September 2007 in the school. On the same day the Librarians put up their assembly which includes the following points
importance of reading and general informative talk about Library Awareness Day.
Oath was taken by the representatives of 1st std children which includes General Awareness of behaviour related to library activity and reading.
3. Std. II and III children recited the poem ‘Let us Read’ which tells us how important reading is.

The Poem Says -
Hey children! Look
Come on let’s read a book
Books are really lovely
Remember to read them thoroughly.
When we read books
We feel bright
When we read them
Our mind gets light

Books are like angels
They have natural wings
They teach us
Marvelous new things

They teach us about animals
Don’t put them in a cage
They teach us many things
At every age.

They are made from trees
So I request you please
Handle them but do not tear
Do hold them with care

Books have many pictures
They take us to adventures
Read books if you are sad
Or even when our mood is bad

Don’t say its so boring
Just do some reading
Sit comfortably on a chair
And get on reading with a flair

The children of std III and IV performed a small skit on their environment and their surroundings. The topics covered were water conservation, environment, tigers of India, global warming. Children learnt how important it is to read and stay abreast of are the latest information.
Std I children presented the rules of the library.
Std II children said a small poem on books

My story book

While Puss curls at my feet to dream
I like to sit for hours and look
Through my favourite storybook

I read about the strangest things
Wild animals that talk, and kings,
Lost princesses, and hidden gold
And birds, and elves, and pirotes bold... [continues]
