Chapter I
INTRODUCTION AND ITS BACKROUND
A. Introduction
Viruses are considered in medicine as an organism that causes rapid deterioration of one’s health in mere second impairing their overall functioning. Thus, if such can affect a human’s body so easily so is a mere object that a human created for convenience. One of these creations is the co called “computers”. Such creation that pave way to new discoveries in both positive and negative aspects that affects society of today. One of these negative aspects include the creation of data or system interference or for short “Computer Viruses”. Such are the thoughts that the researchers have in mind to come up with the topic in hand. This research is contributed to the teachers and students in AMA University. As one knows computers are now an integral part of the lives of citizens of today thus proving the advancement of technology. But then as our technology advances so are the problems that one encounters in relation to computers. One of these problems is the so called data or system interferences caused by computer viruses. With these thoughts in mind the researchers then came up with the topic at hand which centers on the data and system interferences and its effects to the performance of the people using the computers themselves when such interference occurs.

Of course as one knows when there is a problem there is also a solution that can be grasped and performed. The researchers are eager to find such solution and also recommend it to people that may benefit from such research such as the employees of AMA University. B. Statement of the Problem

1. What are the common data or system interference experienced by the employees of AMA University: Quezon City? 2. How does this data or system interference alter the performance of the employees? 3. What are the possible measures to prevent such interference and what can be done to restore from such interference? C. Objective of the Study

The goal of this study is to know what types of data or system interference (viruses) are affecting the computers used by the employees in AMA University – Quezon City and at the same time formulate a preventive measure and plan of action in case if such data or system interference actually happens again in the computers used by the employees. Thus, with this one can also give recommendations also of the software that can be used in order to prevent future problems in cases of data or system interference (viruses) D. Theoretical Framework – Conceptual Paradigm

E. Hypothesis
- Null Hypotheses (H0): There is no significant relationship between data or system interference to the performance of the employees of AMA University – Quezon City - Alternative Hypotheses (H1): There is a significant relationship between data or system interference to the performance of the employees of AMA University – Quezon City.

F. Significance of the Study
This study is conducted for the following purposes:
• To the employees of AMA University – Quezon City: To establish awareness of what kind of computer viruses (data or system interference) actually affects their computers. Also, establish or communicate to them measures in order to restore and prevent such data or system interference in affecting their work per se. • To the students

To establish awareness to the students of the different computer viruses (data or system interference) and also impart knowledge on the effects of such to computer software. Provide information on how to prevent or remedy if such computer viruses (data or system interference) may actually affect their own computers. • To the readers

To serve as basis for their research papers and also to impart knowledge to the topic per se.

G. Scope and Limitation of the Study
The ones included in the study are the employees of the...
