Virgin Group is a British multinational branded venture capital conglomerate company founded by business tycoon Richard Branson. Its core business areas are travel, entertainment and lifestyle and it consists of more than 400 companies worldwide. I am interested in entrepreneurship and I would like to disassemble the basic rules of Virgin Group management system. Analyze how the managers work and how do they keep profitable such a big company, and regulate all processes.
My bachelor thesis will be like a business book with rules, which young people (my target audience) would be able to use in practice. Also I think, I will find a lot of interesting information for me.
Methodology
I will use literature and bibliography review, qualitative research, collecting information by myself, deduction, investigation and consulting by Virgin Group managers by email.
I pointed out above that I will use only qualitative method and I didn’t write quantitative method, because I would like to build my thesis work in a free manner. I am going to lean on a data collected by myself in the course of conversation with many people associated with the company, and the data obtained in the course of studying the issue.
Literature and bibliography review consists from web-surfing of this issue, that help me to understand, that it is reasonable to research this topic. Also literature and bibliography review helps me to collect all necessary information for research.
In books, which wrote the founder of company, Richard Branson, also is some information about management system of Virgin Group. It helps me to look inside.
Also it will consist usual literature review for theoretical part of my Bachelor Thesis.
I will also use deductive method to explain my opinion. I am going to contact Virgin’s Group managers by email and Twitter to get information from them. I would like them to explain me Virgin Group management system and key differences of British company in comparison with other companies, like Procter & Gamble and Apple Computers. And after it, I will analyze all this information and determine main advantages and disadvantages of Virgin management system.
