One of the good things about playing video games is that kids learn while they play. While children play they practice hand-eye co-ordination. The games tend to challenge people right at their edge of their abilities as they get better and score more points, they move up to more demanding levels of play. Video games also help kids get comfortable with technology.

Recent studies have shown that video games can have a positive and sometimes negative effect on how players behave, depending on the content. Social games can increase empathy, co-operation, helping and emotional awareness. Games encourage civic participation. As children master games they in crease their self confidence and self steam. Games provide a fun, safe and social form of entertainment.

Nowadays video games have become a very common mode of recreation for children as well as adults. It is true that out there, there are games that include violence.
But that is not true for all; there exists a wide range of educational games that provide wholesome entertainment and education without being un-cool or boring.
