VASUDHAIV KUTUMBAKAM & ARTICLE 51

The fear of yet another world war and international terrorism has drawn the attention of the entire humanity for forming a new world order, a world government and a new human civilization. The new century enjoins upon mankind to exercise restraint, wisdom and reasoning.
World is a house of six continental rooms:Imagine the infinity of this universe. Compare the size of this earth with the universe that has been built by God for a purpose which is beyond our comprehen¬sion. For God the entire universe is one whole. But we the inhabitants of this earth are not willing even to regard this small earth as one country. How narrow is this thinking? Every one of us is trying to divide this small place, much against the natural geographical unity. Is it not ludicrous? Is it not foolish of us to say that this is my country or that is your country? Is it not insensible to stop our own fellow human beings from crossing the artificial boundaries of the territories which we call our own? Is the land mass which we call our country actually ours or it belongs to the earth? But the so-called leaders, the so called Heads of different faiths would not agree to recognise this fact because that would undermine their own position as 'leaders 'I .
We the participants of this World Peace Assembly consider this world as a small house made of six continental rooms. We would like to live in these rooms as residents of this small house called earth. Let us recall what Kalpana Chawla had said from her space-ship. She had remarked that the earth looked like a small fly from the sky. She had experienced the joy of being a part of this universe as she looked at this earth from a distance. Every one would feel like that if we see this earth from afar. Our vision would undergo change and our thinking would draw inspiration from Divine.
This universe is ours and we belong to this universe. Let us learn to live peacefully in this small earth¬house of six... [continues]
