To the investors of the Wood Veneer Factory, by hiring an outside contact to report on the negative and positive findings to help this factory regain its productivity, this report will detect, report and give recommendations on leadership and worker performance.
Detection of Ineffective Leadership and Worker Performance
For detection of leadership and worker performance would be to gather all information possible. Then ask if there were any cameras installed and if so take a look at each of them. Then there would be a personal interview with the workers to get more information to the complaints, behaviors on his or her performances. I would do a production data in which I would ask to look at the record books to see what is coming in and going out in which this could help in whom might have the most to gain. Such as looking for embezzlement and I would bring in an accountant to go over the information that is recorded. “Direct observation is clearly the best approach to investigating these problems where the process dynamics needs to be captured and the potential for multiple, conflicting interpretations can be expected”(Davis, Subrahmanian and Westerberg, 2005,p. 5).
Reporting of Ineffective Leadership and Worker Performance
In order to report on the ineffective leadership and worker performance there will be three different types of classified data to be used personnel data, production data and subjective evaluations. Personnel data will consist of how many times a worker has called in sick, been tardy, how many types of write ups are in there folders and how many safety violations. Production data will consist of sales commission.

As a recommendation, the best is prevention and increase in motivation. Each employee, from management to line workers needs to feel appreciated and part of the company.
