Using Technology to Increase Academic Success
Technology has changed the world we live in and has made a very positive impact on the way we learn, an education is just a couple of clicks away from anyone anywhere. It has made it convenient and possible for people with busy schedules, full time jobs and Military who are in different countries at any given time to earn a degree and further their education. There are many devices that are available and more that are on the way to facilitate the tools needed for academic success. Technology can be very useful to those who understand it and can afford it but it is also very difficult for people of older age and people who do not have the means or accessibility to it. It has opened new boundaries for students at the elementary, secondary and higher levels and it has given us access to unlimited information and has eliminated geographical barriers. Before the use of the computers people would have to spend countless hours reading thru books, encyclopedias and newspapers just to name a few in a library looking for information to complete an assigned school task. Now with the use of technology you can breeze thru thousands of topic related subjects making it easier for all different types of students to get their work done. But also in a way it has made students dependent on this type of learning and in a way become lazy and more likely to cut corners and obtain information from other sources to present as your own. Research has shown that technology has greatly impacted education in many ways it has given students and teachers the opportunity to interact from all over the world.
