15-16 Introduction For my topic, I chose to research employee benefits through theory and will be
using UPS as my desirable organization. The main objective of this paper is to compare and
contrast the Employee Benefits of UPS and to also learn the many different benefits that an
employee can receive at UPS, at the different positions in the company. I want to get a detailed
description of why UPS is a good company for employees that want to receive multiple kinds of
employee benefits through their company. Also when looking at the employee benefits at UPS I will
compare them to other benefits that other companies may offer to their employees. Even though
these companies might be completely different I do believe it could show a great amount of success
of what UPS believes they can do for their employees. My primary sources for my research paper
will be coming from sources over the Internet and will be using a lot of the information. I research a
lot of information about UPS and gathered a lot of information toward Employee Benefits for UPS
employees and also gathered some more information about UPS as a company and what they do
for their customers. For my secondary sources I will be using some information from the book that
is required for class. By using this I am able to put the information from another company and the
information in the book together as one. I also have a family member that actually works for a
similar shipping company and was able to gather some information by asking him some questions. I
got some very valuable information of what this shipping company does for their employees. Jim
Teachout my uncle was the man I conducted the interview with and I was surprised to find out some
information, but there were a lot of downfalls to what he said about being an employee of a shipping
business. I do want to mention that this information he gave could be confidential and am not
allowed to use some of the information in my paper, but will use it differently so I respect his
demands. As I get into the information I do believe that UPS is running a very good business and
is doing everything possible to give their employees a reason to work for their organization. UPS is
doing a great job by giving their employees all kinds of opportunities to establish themselves in their
organization and is potentially making the UPS organization a very valuable company not only to the
employees, but also to everybody that is using their services. As technology in the world increases
and gets more enhanced UPS will get even more value and employees that are working for them
could receive more and more benefit for working for the organization. II. Literature Review Aspect
This part in the paper will give a brief description of benefits and employee benefits. Also the factors
that come in play when receiving benefits and the benefit sources that are used. 2.1. Employee
