Nickelodeon Family Suites
The hotel that I am going to talk about today is Nickelodeon Family Suites also known as Nick Hotel for short. Located in Orlando, Florida the unique feature about this resort is hotel and a theme park combined in one experience. Orlando is home to many other theme parks as well for example; Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando, Wet ‘n Wild, Orlando Science Center and Gatorland. None of these theme parks feature on-site hotel, this is what sets the Nick hotel apart from others. The hotel originally opened in 1992, and was originally branded the "Holiday Inn Family Suites"; which featured both "KidSuites" (rooms decorated to match specific themes) as well as specially designed suites, such as movie-themed "CineSuites" and romance-themed "Sweetheart Suites" (which featured, among other amenities, heart-shaped whirlpools). In 2004, Holiday Inn and Nickelodeon announced a partnership and renovation of the hotel, which would transform it into the Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn. From the hotel's reopening in 2005 to 2009, it carried the Holiday Inn flag and moniker. In 2009, it dropped them and was renamed simply "Nickelodeon Family Suites". In November 2009 they changed the name and logo during Nickelodeon's changes. It was renamed to the now Nickelodeon Family Suites. Nickelodeon Suites Resort sits on 24 acres with 777 suites. Each suite is Nickelodeon themed with Nick colors and characters such as Sponge Bob Square Pants, Dora the explorer and Cosmo and Wanda from The Fairly OddParents. At the Nick Hotel one can chow down poolside at the Lagoon Grill & Bar, enjoy lunch in private poolside cabana, or grab a bite at Subway or Uno Express in the Food Court. Enjoy the daily Character Breakfast with Nickelodeon friends or relax with a cocktail in The Lounge. Browse Other Stuff for snacks and drinks and Nick Stuff for souvenirs and gifts.
