The University of Arizona.
Within the United States there are many different Colleges and Universities scattered across the nation. Some specialize in specific subjects such as technology, agriculture, business, engineering and medicine but most colleges offer all of subjects. They have different fields of study on campus that allows students to explore. Being an example of that is the University of Arizona, it is one of the top rated medical schools in Arizona. The University of Arizona is one of the best choices when considering attending college in Arizona.  
On Oct. 1, 1891, The University of Arizona opened its doors to its students and staff. The Universities first semester had 32 listed students but only six of them were enrolled in the freshman class, the others attended the specially established prep school since there was no high school in that territory. After 17 long years the university students finally outnumbered the prep students but UA kept the prep classes running for about 23 years. Throughout the years students had to hitch rides from farmers headed out to the field. The discipline on campus was strict, when a student was failing the entire staff would be called for a conference to determine the future of that student.
The universities original wildcat mascot was introduced to the campus, staff and students on October 17, 1915. He was a gift of the freshman football team at the time. He was officially named "Rufus Arizona" after UA President Rufus B. von KleinSmid.
Any College or University has different admission requirements, some only look at your GPA where as others also look at your achievements throughout high school. Some schools require you to take certain classes while still attending high school but to be accepted to UA you need at least 16 units combined in English, math, lab science, social science, a second languages and art.
