I believe an average Americans perception of a group is created by how they grew up or who they grew up with. Some Americans grew up with a racist family making them view the wrong opinion towards different groups. Some Americans may not of had parents or family members that were racist but they may have had followed what their friends believed about different groups. Many people also like to follow what the majority believes is true, Also people may create a perception of groups based on what some have done. If one member of a group created a mass destruction towards another group it causes a bad perception of that group. When many people of a group do something good it creates a good perception for that group. I do not label people or make perception because of what group one belongs to, but I make perceptions by who the individual is and what they my have done wrong or right.
