For starters, let me first make you aware about the company Unilever and some important features. Unilever strives to make the environment, which includes consumers, their number one priority. They influence others to be more efficient and help the world around them. Unilever promises its consumers to be more aware of their products while also being environmentally friendly. They provide monetary gifts to charities that provide great community status, and also for go green organizations. Overall, their project or purpose is aimed towards helping people be more people friendly while also being respectable towards their environment.


In the 1890's, William Hesketh Lever, founder of Lever Brothers began searching for his perspectives and ideas to form “sunlight soap”. It was known for its revolution of hygiene and cleanliness for consumers in England. Unilever was formed in 1930. All throughout the 1930-1970’s Unilever succeeded even due to poor economy issues and high inflation. Products are particularly “difficult in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector as the big retailers start to flex their muscles” (www.unilever.com).


"Unilever's major success has been influenced by such events-- the economic boom, depression, world wars, changing consumer lifestyles and advances in technology" (www.unilever.com). This has all helped to contribute to consumers being able to making more time to take care of their selves and getting more out of life. The success was aimed towards consumers spending less time doing household chores and taking care of their homes. Unilever set up projects that would help improve their employees and establish products that helped social impact. This increased their overall number one priority, hygiene and personal care for their consumers.

However, Unilever's promise today is to "have successful standards towards corporate impact towards their workers, consumers, and the world in which we live" (www.unilever.com). This promise was established to also contribute to supplies of raw material, protect environments in which we live, and support local charities and communities. Their priorities have since changed, being now more inspiring towards people. This is to help impact people to take action, which could turn out to make a difference in the world. Their sole purpose, or mission, is to "help people look good, feel good and get more out of life" (www.unilever.com).

Unilever now works with Mindshare agency. They have two locations, New York and London.
Unilever's corporate success purpose is to "require the highest standards of corporate attitude to everyone they work with, the communities they inspire, and the environment in which they have an important impact on" (www.unilever.com).

They strive off these five brief principles:

1. Always work with integrity
2. Positive impact
3. Continuous commitment
4. Setting out our aspirations
5. Working with others

Their major goal is to focus on their impact towards environmental influences. Their overall living plan is that, "by 2020, we will have the environmental footprint of our products, help more than one billion people take action to improve their health and well being, and source one hundred percent of our agricultural raw materials sustainability" (www.unilever.com).

Unilever has some major recognizable performances. This contributes to sales, environmental friendly, and safety.
