Understanding Diversity within Society
Explain the meaning of Diversity in detail
Diversity refers to the variety of backgrounds, orientations and experiences created within our community. When a community is diverse there is the presence of different points of views and ways of making meaning which flow from the variety within it. This variety arises out of different cultural, racial, ethnic, religious, gender, socioeconomic class, political, developed abilities, and/or sexual orientation. However, even as we recognize that diversity is multi-faceted, we must remember that some aspects of diversity ( i.e., race, gender) have proven particularly difficult to embrace. Those aspects of diversity deserve special ongoing attention. In short, an authentically diverse environment recognizes and nurtures the talents of all persons within the community. The variety of different characteristics, features or organisms. The variety of species in a given region or the number of different species in a particular place. High diversity usually means a more stable and less easily disturbed ecosystem. Downwelling - In oceanography, the replacement of deep waters by surface waters moving down because of a change in temperature or more rarely salinity. Downwelling may bring waters rich in oxygen to the deeper parts of the ocean or lake.
Distinguish between different types of diverse groups.
Education: we know in England that education is free up to certain age, but is still free. But in some of the countries education is not free, so that mean you have to pay for it, and if you don’t have the money to for it you will not be able to study or receive education from school. So when you are young and want to study, but you can’t, not because you don’t want to, but because you don’t have the money to pay for it, this will going to affect your personal development and self concept.

Muslim wives are to be totally dependent and obedient to their husbands. Men are the maintainers of women, with what Allah has made some of them to excel others and with what they spend out of their wealth. So the good women are obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded. And those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the beds and chastise them. So if they obey you, seek not a way against them. 3)
Men can divorce and remarry the same women many times.
So if he divorces her (the third time), she shall not be lawful to him afterwards until she marries another husband. If he divorces her, there is no blame on them both if they return to each other (by marriage), if they think that they can keep within the limits of Allah. And these are the limits of Allah, which He makes clear for a people, who know. 4)
