For your second project, you will be writing persuasive paper written in APA format. The topic of your paper is the same as your first paper, but in this project you will be writing to convince your audience to your point of view. To do this, you will have to develop a point of view and defend that stance. You will be in charge of developing your own arguments using the main idea of your research and first paper.
Remember the following:
Take advantage of the research you have already done. (See the rough draft section for types of sources you will need). At the least you will be responsible for 10 sources that are directly cited within your paper. This means that I expect that any source listed in bibliography must have appeared in your paper. You may have more sources, but only list the sources that appear in your paper.
Your thesis should broadly cover your topic, but make sure you make concise points (don’t ramble). Conversely, don’t make the mistake of narrowing your focus to the extreme.
You are developing a point of view and defending that point of view. Remember to take a firm stance and back that stance up with the evidence you have collected during your research. Your POV MUST be backed up with references.
This paper will form the basis for your final presentation. Make your paper top-notch and the development of the final PowerPoint and presentation should be easy.
Remember, this is a polished, academic paper. Each segment of this paper should be professional and serious in tone.
Your paper should include an introduction, body and conclusion. The body of your paper should include between five to eight main points. Your writing should be clear and concise. Try to keep your points crisp and resist including ‘fluff’ in your paper. All papers, and all elements of your papers, should be in APA format and double-spaced. Each element of your paper should have both a cover page and reference page....
