Men and women share a special bond that is unlike anything else in the world. Both men and women were each created for each other to unite in a special union. Many people might not want to admit it but each significant other does play a huge role in their lives. When involved in a relationship people may compromise their values and morals in order to feel wanted and loved by their partner. Relationships are beautiful and help individuals feel truly wanted but things may not always be picture perfect and people tend to block out reality just to keep their relationship on a successful path. Sometimes things may move too quickly and go too far before it is obvious some bad decisions were made. Strong personal relationships do cause men and women to forsake their own personal values whether it is the hunger for power, breaking social status or protecting one another.
Macbeth written by William Shakespeare is the ultimate example of men and women forsaking their values for their own personal wellbeing. Lady Macbeth was a very controlling and manipulating partner in her relationship with Macbeth. Not only was she controlling with her words but she used her sexuality to persuade Macbeth into doing whatever she pleased, “Unsex me here, and fill me, from the crown to the toe”(Shakespeare Act I, Scene V 41-42) . Their relationship was definitely interesting instead of having Macbeths best interest at heart she would persuade him into getting into trouble just so she could have some power. Their thirst for the crown had no cost and they were willing to do whatever was necessary to gain that power. Within days they became two completely different people on a killing rampage only looking towards the crown and nothing else in sight, “Hail, King that shalt be!” (Shakespeare Act I, Scene V 10). Trying to please each other only made their relationship worse and not only did it have a huge effect on each other but all of those surrounding them tearing...
