China, the mysterious eastern land where the booming economy, industries, technology and social welfare could be witnessed everyday, is where I was born and grew up. Cultivated by traditional Chinese culture that put special emphasis on sense of family , I am greatly influenced and shaped by my family.
My father is a teacher and writer who grew up through 1970s and 1980s. At that time, despite the lack of materials and worries about basic necessities, my father kept on getting up at 4 a.m. to trek to school in the nearest town. With his efforts, not only did he achieved excellent scores in the college entrance exam, but also had he spared time to study music (composition). So when it comes to me, my father was very strict in my academic courses. He tutored me as well as cultivated my interest in learning things. Under his guidance, I explored the most suitable learning method for me. Thanks to my father, I determined to make great achievements in future business and life based on academic success. Besides that, my father highly advocated academic spirit that focuses on pragmatic practices and fosters critical thinking. Driven by this idea, he encouraged me to study IB courses and persue more advanced study in the United States.
