Uganda (population problems in LEDCs)

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa. Uganda is bordered on the east by Kenya, on the north by South Sudan, on the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, on the southwest by Rwanda, and on the south by Tanzania.

Uganda’s population has grown from 4.8 million people in 1950 to 24.3 million in 2002. The current estimated population of Uganda is 35 million (35,873,253). Uganda has a very young population, with a median age of 15 years.

Uganda has more of a youthful population, this because they lack birth control and family planning. As Uganda is an LEDC, its education system is low and the government does not provide the study of family planning....
