Typical Day

My typical day for me would be waking up everyday at 5:00 A. M. To start my day first thing I would do is take my phone off the charger, unlock my phone to read text messages from my friends and check my emails and after I’m done I would get out of bed put my red slippers on and walk over to the kitchen to boil water for my coffee while I shower. After my shower I walk to my room to get dressed than decide weather I want to put it up in a ponytail or mose it up. Than I walk over to the kitchen to make breakfast. As a tradition in my house or Egyptian tradition to say, the first thing we do when we wake up is boil water to make hot tea or coffee to start off the day. Seeing my parents make it every morning I decided one day to make my own cup of coffee. Three years ago I got into the habit of making Arabic coffee every morning to start my day because I didn’t like it black I would add milk to avoid the bitterness of it. Drinking coffee for a year straight every morning I decided I wanted to try something different. One day I was running late and didn’t have time to make coffee at home so I decided to call my friend Janine to make me an ice coffee since she works for Starbucks and that I would pick it up on my way to class. For some reason the Starbucks coffee tasted completely different and better than the one I make at home. Not only was the Starbucks coffee better in taste but, it was more convenient for me and less of a hassle. So every morning I would decide to stop by Starbucks to buy my ice coffee with 12 pumps of vanilla and half and half milk. I would get Starbucks on my way to school and work seven days a week for three years straight. I finally decided that I was spending too much money not only that the only way to stay up was drinking Starbucks coffee. I’ve realized that the coffee wasn’t healthy for my body, especially the ridiculous amount I drink and at the end of the week I would find myself spending more than I should on coffee.
