1.) What were some of the Puritan’s beliefs and values? List three of Puritans believed that their religion was the “correct” one. They also killed Quakers for preaching “inner light” doctrines. Simple things were the norm, anything excessive was frowned upon.
2.) What is predestination? What role did this play in Puritan society? Remember what you read in the above section. Puritans also believed in predestination; that all events are fore known and foreordained by God. 4.) What was the tool Puritans used to teach their children? In addition to the alphabet, what else was taught using this tool? They used the New England Primer to teach their children.
