important:
Achilles died in deed by Paris but along time ago before we, Greeks entered Troy. It was disgusting and very insulting to the epic story to see Achilles dies inside the burning Troy with several arrows on his chest and belly as Achilles was invulnerable because his father Pileas baptized him in a blessed water when he was an infant but as he was holding him upside down he did not sink his feet holding him from his ankles. That is why his only vulnerable spot was his heels. That means that only one arrow was enough to kill him at his heel.

EVEN IF THE STORY HAVE A WAR ,KILLING I ENJOY THE STORY ESPECIALLT THE PART THAT ACHILLES CRY I REALIZE THAT EVEN THE KILLER OR THE GREAT WARRIOR HAS A HEART A CONSCIENCE. THEY RESPECT AND LOVE THE WOMEN AND THEIR REPUTATION AND TO ACHIEVE THAT THEY FIGHT. IN THESE WOLRD LOVE PEACE IS IMPORTANT YOU DON’T NEED TO KILL PEOPLE IT’S A SIN. In

He does deeds that are encouraging and strength the motivation throughout the story. I like it because he has to go through a lot of struggles, fighting and in the end he always seems to win. The characters have very good character traits in the story. Also i like it because it shows that a hero is defined through physical violence and that is still shown in modern time but not as much back then. "Nor have I ever seen,/ Out of all the men on earth, one greater/ Than has come with you; no commoner carries/ Such weapons, unless his appearance, and his beauty,/ Are both lies." I like this because it shows how Beowulf really was. He was one of the best when it was said and people looked up to…

The first characteristic that is assigned to a classic hero by Homer is the fact that they are strong and brave, and may even have god-like qualities. To emphasize this, Homer deliberately and repeatedly adds adjectives that praise the two heroes before their names almost every time he refers to them. While Achilles is usually depicted as swift and godlike, Homer portrays Hector as bright, dazzling and dignified. Homer uses phrases like, "...noble bright-helmeted Hector..."(398;Book 22), "...man-killing Hector..." (149;Book 6), and "Resplendent Hector..."(146;Book 6) to describe the Trojan soldier, while he praises Hector's Greek opponent with such expressions as "Achilles, peer of the plume-waving war god..."(145;Book 22) and "...Achilles, swift of foot..."(182;Book 1). Homer's diction consistently portrays the two heroes as godlike and noble throughout the poem.…

This is important because it reminds us that heroism is not only glory and victory, but that good leadership is extremely important, because if a hero sends his men into battle without giving good counsel beforehand, then he will look bad if they end up getting killed. When Aias and Odysseus are sent by Agamemnon to implore with Achilles' to fight for the Greeks, Achilles disagrees with them, saying "There was no gratitude given for fighting continuously against your enemies”. At this point in his life Achilles wants peace and not have to fight battles that aren’t worth fighting, especially putting the lives of others in danger. It wasn’t until he lost Patroclus, his closest friend the strongest relationship that his ever had with anyone that he was ready to go to battle for. Patroclus becomes the prime motivation for Achilles to return to battle. The death of his friend reinforces a great deal of Achilles' actions and emotions about the Trojan War. His death stirred a lot of different emotions within Achilles, and made him reevaluate his life and believes. He didn’t want to have to bury his best friend, he couldn’t bare the loss and not being able to see him…

The Achaean warrior Achilles and Troy's warrior Hector differ mainly in their approach to the war. Although Achilles has ties to the Gods and isn't somewhat more superior in mortality to Hector, he comes of as less heroic. He has all the makings a great hero but even though he is considered one of the mightiest Achaean warriors, he has flaws that impair his judgments in regards to fighting. For Achilles, fighting wars is all about attaining Kleas and Time; this state of mind hinders his ability to act out of nobility. As a result, he comes of as being egotistical and is sensitive when his pride is in jeopardy of being bruised. Even though he wants to live a long life filled with honor and glory, Achilles knows that his fate leads him to death and the possibility of a lasting life was not in his future. So ultimately, he is willing to sacrifice his life only so that his name will be remembered.…

His biggest desire was to be a good athlete, a good catholic and to be a hero for his country. The whole bodybuilding aspect is sort of paradoxical and ironic, because the body he put so much effort in was to no avail as he returned back as a cripple. He was convinced that he was unbeatable, but ironically, his biggest desire about joining the military was the aspect that beat him. He also appears to be a lot masculine, as he trained his body and wanted to engage in combat. This masculinity disappears when he returned…

In The Iliad, by Homer, being heroic is a quality that every male is supposed to display. As a result, many characters are portrayed as heroic, but of them all, Prince Hector of Troy is the most. Not only is that based claim based on the Homeric beliefs at that time, but it is also reflected in today’s views on what heroes are to us. Hector is overall the most heroic character based on how he holds fast to the Homeric code and his values in war, is represented as a human who has flaws yet overcomes them, is a fierce and powerful warrior, and Homer portrays him positively in the epithets that have been written about him.…
