There are three types of leadership styles, Transformational, transactional, and Charismatic. Transformational leadership style is a style of leadership in which the leader moves and changes things in a big way by communicating to followers a special vision of the future, tapping into the follower’s higher ideals and motives. Followers trust and respect transformational leaders because they have a strong vision for the future of the organisation. Some of the Core characteristics of transformational leadership are:

* Good judgement- which is having a strong sense of what's good or beneficial not only for yourself, but for others as well. It also involves making a balanced decision, weighing both the pros and cons. Without making a balanced decision this could lead to bad judgement, and depending on the situation it could lead to failure. * Communication- Effective communication is key to maintaining good personal relationships with your business partners, managers, followers, family etc. Communication can include non-threatening sharing of information, or it may involve emotionally heavy topics that are likely to set off negative reactions in the person listening.

* Interpersonal skills- People with strong interpersonal skills are usually more successful in both their professional and personal lives. They are perceived as more calm, confident and charismatic, all are qualities that are often engaging or appealing to others. * Confidence- Confidence is generally described as a state of being certain either that a statement or prediction is correct or that a chosen course of action is the best or most effective. Self-confidence is having confidence in oneself. * Charismatic- charismatic leaders exercise a compelling charm that inspires devotion in others.
