The company is specialize in renting vehicles and aim to provide customers with the best rental car experience. After a stable first year, the company started to lose profit from the second year until now. It happened for the most part because of some internal problems between our managers and other employees. It is a very serious matter because it affects negatively the service we offer to our customers. With the human resource class project assignment, I have think about creating a training program for our managers that will help them get a better knowledge of what comes with their position and much more.
Helping and giving the best rental car experience to our customers is the cornerstone of our firm. This training program will give the appropriate skills to our managers so that they can manage and motivate effectively other employees. Valuable input must be gathered in preparation for a more efficient result of the program. For that, I have asked my childhood friend to conduct a series of interviews back in Ivory Coast with selected members of the company leadership that will help collect some important data and also identify current training needs for our managers as well as what they would have liked to have received in training. After getting all the data, I made a deep review and decided to create a four days training program. For the program to be successful, it should be present as a pilot program that will address the key issues and skills outlined in (Appendix A). The materials used for this four days pilot training program are reference manuals, fact sheets, power points, black board, video and group demonstration project that will allowed the manager to show the trainer what has been learned.
