Executive Summary
Nestle is worlds largest and leading food and beverages company. It started its journey in 1866 in Switzerland and till then it has come a long way. For our report we are focusing on Nestle Bangladesh Ltd. Nestle Bangladesh Ltd had started its operation in Bangladesh in 1994 and its factory is situated in Sreepur, Gazipur. Nestle Bangladesh directly employs more than 650 people and more than 1000 people are employed by suppliers and distributors in connection to Nestle. However there are some managerial problems that are faced by Nestle Bangladesh Ltd and our report focuses on those problems and solutions to them. We begin with how Nestle came into existence in the world and then in Bangladesh. Nestle with no doubt has been doing great business in Bangladesh like the rest of the world, there managerial, marketing and financial aspects are of topnotch. Nestle strives to create value that can be sustained over the long term by meeting consumer needs for nutrition, enjoyment and Quality they can trust. The General Management, known as MANCOM (panel of directors of each function, headed by Managing director) takes care of the overall operation of the company and makes the key decisions. Human Resource focuses the management of employees and organizational culture. Supply Chain ensures the stable supply of the products according to the demand of the customers. Marketing looks after the development of the brands & communication, market share and product development of the products. Finance and control deals with the financial transactions and most importantly they also apply the control mechanism to remain the company complaint financially and procedurally. Finally Sales and Nestle Professionals are responsible for earning revenue for the company.
