The coca cola company is an American multinational beverage corporation and manufacturer, retailer and marketer of nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups, which is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The company is best known for its flagship product coca cola, Invented in 1886 by pharmacist John Stith Pemberton in Columbus Georgia. The Coca-Cola formula and brand was bought in 1889 by ASA CANDLER who incorporated The Coca-Cola Company in 1892. Besides its namesake Coca-Cola beverage, Coca-Cola currently offers more than 500 brands in over 200 countries or territories and serves over 1.7 billion servings each day.1.5 billion people consume a coca cola product in each day. Coca-cola is called “coca-cola “because of the original ingredients used in the medicine, coca means leaves & kola means seeds. Coca - cola is the most recognized trademark, recognized by 94% of the world population. Coca-cola means “to make mouth happy “in Chinese. Coca cola introduced in Pakistan in 1953. Coca-Cola is a soft drink product which can be seen as a product to reduce the need of thirst. However, thirst could also be reduced by drinking water or another soft drink, so the consumption of cola to satisfy the need of thirst is better described as a want. The choice of drinking cola when one is thirsty depends on a consumer's cultural environment, his or her learning experiences and his or her history. The Coca-Cola Company only produces syrup concentrate which is then sold to various bottlers throughout the world who hold an exclusive territory. The Coca-Cola Company owns its Anchor bottlers in North America, Coca-Cola Refreshments. The slogan of coca cola is “Open happiness”. Its current chairman and chief executive is Mukhtar Kent.
