Too Much Homework
                Is there too much homework? Too much homework is not good. My view on homework is that there is too much.

             Too much homework can take away from being a teenager. We should let teenagers be teenagers. Have fun with friends and family. Study does show that homework doesn’t teach students, and students who don’t do homework will do just as well as students who do homework. So why load us up on homework if homework is not going to teach us anything? That is why we go to school to learn, not take school home. Education may be our main priority right now but we have other lives than school just like teachers have lives outside of school. Students in 8th grade and up are starting to look for jobs to make money for a car, gas, and luxuries. So we don’t have to ask our parents for money. We can’t get jobs if homework is taking over our lives.

            A lot of people say homework is a way to let parents know what is going on in school, but parents can just ask their child to tell them what they are learning in school. Make sure that they give a direct answer instead of “nothing.” Homework isn’t a tool for parents to know what they are doing in school homework is stress on books. The more homework they take home the more stress they take as well. Nobody wants stress, there is good stress and bad stress and I think homework would fall under bad stress. I think the main reason students’ dropout of school is because of homework. If there was no homework then I think there will be an extremely decrease of high school dropouts. I think we need to limit the amount of homework we get each week because there might be a decrease on the number of school dropouts and homework doesn’t teach us anything anyway.

            Some people say homework is good, but the fact is homework is stress on books. We need to limit the amount of homework we receive. Pledge your support for limiting homework.
