.  Exit BlackBoard.  If possible, avoid using a military, government, or employer's computer or email address.
2.  Instead, use Internet Explorer or Firefox to go to[->0] and click the "Library" link on the far, left-hand side.
3.  Click the tab "Find databases, articles, e-books. . . . ." and then, the "off-campus" link.
4.  Follow the log-on instructions exactly - use CAPITAL letters in your Username and Password.

5.  Click the first database, "Academic Search Complete."  Look for and click the "Full-text" box on the left.
6.  In the narrow white box by the green "Search" button, input the author's name and some key words from the article's title, such as:
       walter hixson and red storm rising
7.  Click the blue words of the article's title to see all your options.
          To read the article, click the "Full-text" link in the left column.
          On the right, under "Tools" is a "Cite" feature.  Consider all vendor supplied citations as drafts; edit them to meet your instructor's  requirements.
